P. Dennis Dyer, M.D.

Dr. Dennis Dyer was a Kansas resident and came to Austin after a military career that introduced him to Central Texas after serving at Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio. Dr. Dyer began his medical education at the University of Kansas Medical Center after completing his undergraduate degree at the United States Military Academy at West Point. After obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree at Kansas University, he entered training in Internal Medicine at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colorado and later completed his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship in Denver.

Upon completion of his allergy training, Dr. Dyer worked at several military medial centers both as a practicing allergist and as a teaching physician. He has been appointed as an associated professor of medicine at several universities and has published a dozen papers in field of allergy and immunology. Prior to completing his military career, Dr. Dyer was a training program director and instructed other physicians who were training in allergy and immunology. After ending his military service, Dr. Dyer joined Dr. Vaughan at Austin Allergy Associates in 1998.

Dr. Dyer is a board certified allergist, which is originated by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. His first certification was obtained in 1989 with completion of recertification in 1999 and 2009.

T. Ray Vaughan, M.D.

Dr. Vaughan joined Austin Allergy Associates in 1992.  Dr. Vaughan is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.  He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.  He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with majors in chemistry and biology.  Dr. Vaughan received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in 1980.

For thirteen years, Dr. Vaughan served as a medical officer in the U. S. Army where he completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at William Beaumont Army Medical Center.  He received his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship training in Denver at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center.

Dr. Vaughan later served as teaching staff in allergy/immunology at Fitzsimons and finally as program director of the Allergy-Immunology Fellowship program at Fitzsimons.  He has received multiple awards for teaching and research activities, has published more than 30 papers, chapters, and abstracts in the medical literature, and has been elected twice to serve on the Board of Directors of the Texas Allergy and Immunology Society.

Dr. Vaughan and his wife, Susan, have been married for 25 years and have three children.
